Local artist hosts fundraiser for Kempton Park SPCA

Local artist and Messy Masterpieces founder Sonette van der Merwe is inviting residents to a special fundraising event in support of the Kempton Park SPCA.
The event will take place at Mud and Muse in Kempton Park on July 25 at 13:00, giving community members an opportunity to enjoy a creative afternoon while supporting a worthy cause.
Tickets cost R350 per person and include all painting materials, a welcome drink and snacks.

Van der Merwe said participants will be creating a special artwork inspired by her own beloved pet, Floki, who became part of her family through the Kempton Park SPCA.
“Kempton Park SPCA is where we met our gentleman boy, Floki. The chaos in our lives, the biggest expressions, and always ready with a slobber kiss. He has brought so much love into our home, and this one is for him,” she said.
She added that every ticket purchased contributes towards the work done by the SPCA and helps more animals find loving homes.
“Every ticket helps support the incredible work the SPCA does and helps more families find their own Floki,” said Van der Merwe.
