1000 Bike show in Germiston
THE 30th annual 1000 Bike Show will be hosted by The Classic Motorcycle Club at Germiston High School on July 4 and 5.
This year it is anticipated that about 450 classic motorcycles will be on display in the main tent with motorcycles ranging from 1907 to 1985. The display will include Ariel, BSA, Norton and Triumph, along with lesser known British motorcycles.
The European bikes are also a treat, including old models of BMW, Laverda, Moto Guzzi, Kreidler and Zündapp on show. All the Japanese motorcycles will also be there, including a special 50cc display this year.
On the main field, other displays will be evident, including a Concours d’Elegance and a retro display of Cafe Racers and Bobbers.
If anyone has a “classic” they would like to display or would like to join the club, call Hamish Ireland on 082-772-0141.
