Drivers suffer critical head injuries in P91 collision

The male driver sustained a broken left femur and suffered a head trauma

THE drivers of two vehicles suffered serious head injuries when their cars were involved in a collision on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened on the P91 just after 1.30pm.

Emer-G-Med paramedics were on the scene.

“According to eyewitnesses, the female driver was turning right at the intersection (it is unclear in which direction) and the male driver was approaching the intersection from the opposite direction,” Danielle Dooley, Emer-G-Med media officer, explained.

The man was driving with his daughter in the car.

The male driver t-boned the female driver on the left side of her vehicle.

“The woman sustained critical head and leg injuries and was transported to Arwyp.”

The male driver sustained a broken left femur and suffered a head trauma. His daughter sustained only minor injuries. They were both transported to Tembisa Hospital.
