Rhodesfield matric missing since Sunday night

He left home while his mother was asleep

KEMPTON Police, together with family members, are searching for a teenage boy who has been missing since Sunday night.

Hlosokuhle Khumalo left his Park Street home while his mother was asleep. Thembekile Khumalo woke up at about 10pm to find her 18-year-old son gone from their house.

According to a family representative, the Rhodesfield Technical High School matric pupil had had an altercation with his mother that day.

“But she (mother) said they had resolved the problem and thought everything was back to normal,” he explained.

It is suspected he might have jumped over the wall to exit the complex where they leave, because none of the house and gate keys were missing.

The family also doubts he packed any clothes with him because none of his garments are missing from his room.

Khumalo does not have a cell phone with him.

“The home’s washing line fencing was cut off.”

Khumalo left wearing a dark green tracksuit jacket, three-quarter black pants and brown shoes.

“He is about 1.6m tall, of slender built (about 65kg), light in complexion and has short hair,” his father, Nhlanhla Khumalo, said.

“He is Zulu-speaking and stutters when he speaks.”

A missing persons case was opened with Kempton SAPS.

If anyone has more information, call Khumalo’s parents on 073-312-1676 or 082-692-3437.
