Brides to be should not miss The Wedding Expo
The new Fashion Theatre is a fun an interactive stage that looks beyond the actual wedding day

South Africa’s only national and longest running wedding show, The Wedding Expo, will take place on August 27 and 28 at the Ticketpro Dome.
Now in it’s 15th year, The Wedding Expo perfectly understands the South African bride, and expertly showcases the latest local and international trends, promising an entertaining and luxurious experience that will help the bridal couple visualise their special day.
For all those brides sifting through wedding magazines, The Fashion Theatre at The Wedding Expo will bring some of that inspiration to life. Showcasing some of South Africa’s inspirational designers, the Fashion Theatre replaces the traditional runway show. In addition to seeing the dresses on the runway, visitors can chat to designers and fashion experts on all details of the wedding gown, from fit to embellishments.
“Sponsored by the international best-selling relationship guide, Bulletproof Marriage: Your shield against divorce, The Fashion Theatre is a fun an interactive stage that looks beyond the actual wedding day,” says Amanda Cunningham, The Wedding Expo’s Managing Director.
“The Fashion Theatre experts will also provide tips on financial and legal matters, and, importantly, how to build on the love you feel on your wedding day to create a future of happiness together with your partner. “This hands-on advice, covering everything from dress design to wedding contracts, usually comes at a premium, but at The Wedding Expo, it’s been carefully crafted as part of our offering.”
The Fashion Theatre is also home to the hugely popular Make Me a Bride makeover. Volunteers are chosen for a hair and makeup makeover before choosing a wedding gown to model onstage to the waiting audience.
The Wedding Expo offers the opportunity to interact with over 250 exhibitors, South Africa’s top wedding planners, photographers, caterers and designers, many of whom will be offering discounted deals to visitors at the show.
Tickets cost R100 online and R120 at the door.
