Local pastors graduate from advanced Bible studies

The ceremony brought together 35 graduates

About 35 local church pastors graduated after completing advanced studies of the history of redemption and biblical beliefs. The ceremony was held on April 21 at The Free United Church of Christ in South Africa based in Makhulong Section.

The ceremony brought together 35 graduates who passed after completing a series of Bible studies related to prophesy and the health ministry at Mahanaim Bible Institute.

The graduates were awarded certificates.

The event marked the first graduation ceremony since the Tembisa United Ministers Forum in January 2017.

The leader of the forum, Rev Michael Nhlapho of the Ethiopian Church of Christ in Baxa Section, said they want to create a conducive environment within churches that will enable pastors who have relevant knowledge of the Bible to preach the real word to the people.

The executive committee of the Tembisa United Ministers Forum who also took part in the biblical course, Bishop Moses Matsobane, Bishop Welminah Malebye, Rev Isaac Namane, Rev Michael Nhlapho, Rev Maggy Manaka and Rev Joseph Mcetywa.

“In our forum, we try to challenge church leaders to follow the Bible’s truth alone and to spread the gospel without fear of intimidation. Our pastors should undergo this type of training in order to advance themselves in the biblical ministry and to prepare the world to meet their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ – plus to be able to heal the nation,” said Nhlapho.

He said they are encouraging more pastors to complete this one-year training course that is provided by the Mahanaim Biblical Institute at no cost.

“All the graduates are already studying for a two-year diploma. Classes are held at The Free United Church of Christ in South Africa every Saturday from 8.30am until 3pm. I want to congratulate all the pastors for their commitment and persistence against all odds. Today we are celebrating their hard work,” said Nhlapho.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of the forum, Rev Isaac Namane under The Free United Church of Christ in South Africa, thanked the pioneers of the institution and his classmates for maximum co-operation.

“The journey has been tough. I also want to encourage you not to hide your light but to stand up and shine until the whole world comes to realise the Bible’s truth. Today, we are living in a generation of many bogus prophecies and our people need us to enlighten them about the true gospel,” said Namane.

One of the graduates, Past Letticia Dikobe under Saint Isaac’s Apostolic Church based in Kgatlamping Section, said she was very happy about her new life in Christ and her desire is now to preach the gospel until the end of her life.

“I want to go back to my church and heal hearts,” added Dikobe.
