Children’s trust dishes out food parcels at Welamlambo

Peermont Global Corporate Social Investment put a smile on children faces.

Peermont Children’s Trust (PCT) delivered food parcels to the learners to keep them nourished during the June holidays.

Peermont Global Corporate Social Investment’s PCT has been providing meals, supervised aftercare, new school uniforms and school holiday food parcels for less fortunate primary school children in the disadvantaged areas that fall in the Emperors Palace catchment area.

On June 18 PCT’s manager Thomas Masango visited Welamlambo Primary School Aftercare Centre to hand out parcels to grateful learners.

Apart from these parcels learners from the centres, which have 22 affiliated primary schools, also get new uniforms at the start of each new school year, are treated to a Christmas party annually and benefit from a feeding scheme and supervised aftercare during the school term.

Currently the Trust supports seven aftercare centres, which have 22 affiliated primary schools, in Kwa-Thema, Vosloorus, Katlehong, Thokoza and Tembisa.

These centres provided for 628 youngsters and during the past week.
