Faith gives back to the community and Phomolong School

Faith Community Development handed over food parcels to needy community members at Phomolong Secondary School on July 28.

Founder of the Community Development organisation Faith Mohushi said the reason her organisation was reaching out to needy community members is because she is passionate about people.

Mohushi felt a need to do something for Mandela Day and with the help of local ward committees she identified deserving beneficiaries.

“Today I was giving food parcels to the community of Sophia Town and Phomolong who are unemployed.

“I am happy about the attendance and appealing to sponsors to come on board to assist Faith Community Development so that they can reach out to more communities,” she said.

She said when one is passionate about helping the community they should not be after money and they must be strong in assisting the community.

Phindila Nala was a beneficiary of the programme.

“What Faith has done for me will make a big difference and she gets more sponsors so that she can help more people in the community.

“I wish all the best for her. May God give her more blessings,” said Nala.

Principal of Phomolong Secondary School Hector Mushwana said he is happy for his school to have been chosen to host the event.
