High tea for East Rand Hospice to raise funds

Hospice East Rand hosted a high tea to raise funds.

Hospice East Rand held a fund-raising high tea on August 25 at Ora Bella restaurant in Boksburg for their Care At Home nurses.

Hospice East Rand Care At Home has nurses who look after patients from their homes. The hospice does not receive any funding from the government and they solely rely on raising their own funds.

“Each ticket was R280 and all the profits will go towards the fund-raising,” said Laura Kirsten, Hospice East Rand fund-raiser.

Season two Master Chef SA top 16 finalist Sanet Labuschagne was there to give a word to the attendees of the high tea.

“You need to show up for yourself, you need to take the time and make the time for you and you will see how much easier life will be for you,” she said.

The attendees were treated to food and tea while enjoying a live music performance by Vintage Vibes.
