Vikk, therefore, saw the need to create ‘How You Feel’, a social gathering that takes place every last Friday of the month.
This event has been uniquely designed to uplift and encourage the youth to believe in their talents and to pursue them.
‘How You Feel’ is a youth-based initiative that takes place in Ivory Park, Tembisa and Midrand and is aimed at creating a platform for like-minded entertainment entrepreneurs based in the Midrand, Tembisa and Kempton Park to network, teach, learn and, most importantly, to bridge the gap between those that have made it within their respective fields and those that are still trying to make it.
There are different speakers for each event as well as different topics for each event.
The first one was called ‘Life in the Trap Youth Seminar’ and it took place on September 29, 2017, with Samantha Lehoko, aka Sammy Sosa, as a guest speaker as well as Patrick Lee who is an internet artist.
The second one was called ‘Waves Never Die Talent Show’ where well-renowned hip-hop artist Big Star Johnson spoke to upcoming artists about the entertainment industry and being on the ‘come up’.
The third one was ‘The Groove Seminar’ where Vikk was the speaker.
He spoke about his personal journey, all the trials and tribulations he went through as well as different ways on how to persist in reaching your goals. The recent event was called the ‘How You Feel’ Benefit Concert where the upcoming talent in the community got a chance to perform and funds were raised for future ‘How You Feel’ events and seminars.
This was an event dedicated purely to celebrating and appreciating local talent.
It is so inspiring to see a young individual being so dedicated to contributing towards the development of the youth as they are the future of tomorrow.
