Champion dogs awarded at Birch Acres Dog Training Club
Dogs were awarded for their great skills at the Birch Acres Dog Training Club.
The ninth annual Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) Championship Show was hosted at Birch Acres Dog Training Club held its annual championship show on September 1 and 2.
Dog owners came out to the club grounds with their dogs to showcase the talents of their dogs.
On Saturday there were classes for obedience and carting, and on Sunday there were classes for flyball, dog jumping and contact and non-contact agility.

Three teams entered for the flyball, agility and dog jumping.
For agility and flyball, the dogs were competing for the best time, and the team with the lowest time won in each category.

For dog jumping, there were two rounds, where the dog that ran the fastest time was declared the winner.
“Montego is our main sponsor. They sponsored all the dog food and we would like to thank them for their major contribution to our event,” said Liesel Twyman, member of Birch Acres Dog Training Club.
