Draw an animal poster and stand to win R2 000

The school which the top donation will win a Canon Laser multi-functional printer valued at R10 000

All Gauteng primary school learners are invited to show their support for animal welfare by entering the Animal Anti-Cruelty League’s (AACL) annual school poster challenge.

The countdown has begun to the closing date on October 31.

It is easy and fun to enter:

Draw or paint a picture showing ways in which people are compassionate and kind to animals, care for them and touch their lives in helpful ways. Remember it’s not all about a pretty picture but a picture with a message. A slogan or title may also help in making your message clear.

You are welcome to use any medium, eg paint, pastel, ink, crayon etc, on either A2 or A3 paper. Be creative, keep your picture bold, striking and original and have fun.

Enter in one of these categories and stand a chance of winning:

• Category 1: Grade 1 & 2: First prize R2 000

• Category 2: Grade 3, 4 & 5: First prize R2 000

• Category 3: Grade 6 & 7: First prize R2 000

• School Prize: The school which the top donation will win a Canon Laser multi-functional printer valued at R10 000.

Each category also has stacks of merit prizes from Animaltalk Magazine, Canon, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Cartoon Candy, Dean’s Stationers, Bob Martin, Artjamming, PVM Nutritional Sciences, Oh Crumbs and Roll-Egoli Roller Rink

Don’t forget to clearly print on the back of your picture:

• Your name and surname

• Your age, grade and entry category (1/2/3)

• Your school’s name & e-mail address / telephone number

• Your parents’ telephone number

Then send or deliver your picture to:
