Loud noise from #Glen Marikana leads to shutdown of shebeen

Kempton Park SAPS raided Glen Marikana informal settlement on Dann Road in Glen Marais on Friday morning.

According to Constable Dipuo Ditshego, acting spokesperson for the station, the raid came after residents of Glen Marikana themselves complained of loud music.

Upon investigation, the SAPS found that the music was coming from an illegal shebeen.

“About 30 beers were confiscated and the shebeen was shut down,” Ditshego told Express.

According to her, no owner could be identified and no charges were made.
