Youngsters to fund-raise for Tumelo Home
The fashion show will include live music performances.
Thandolwethu Production Company will be hosting their second annual fashion show at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre on October 6 at 4 pm in order to raise funds for Tumelo Home of Disability.

Thandolwethu Production Company is a company that was formed by two young artists Thapelo Kenneth Sekhonyane (27) and Zanele Leah Dlamini (22) on March 28, 2017.
Dlamini said the primary objective of this production is to help uplift local upcoming artists to reach their goals and know more about the career or craft they are pushing.
When asked why they named the company Thandolwethu, Dlamini said the name came when they acknowledged the love of art they had “Doing it for the love of art”.
“We have acknowledged that upcoming artists do not get the exposure they need in order to grow themselves and know more about the industry. So we provide them with classes to teach them more about their craft and giving them the exposure they need like finding them places where they can perform their music, do photo shoots and fashion shows and also doing theatre shows and entering theatre festivals. Last year Thandolwethu got nominated as best production company at Ishashalazi festival,” added Dlamini.
“We believe we can bring the change we need and want to see in the community and bring a smile to everyone’s face. Showing our community the love and that we should stand together and be united as one,” she explained.
She said they did their first fashion show on October 7, 2017 at Front Page.
“It was a success. We also joined forces with other production companies and participated in several activities which included a fun walk against the abuse of women. We need the community to assist us and donate their old clothing, blankets, tin food or anything they can make a difference in someone’s life. For the event to be a success and making everyone at Tumelo Home happy, we are selling tickets at this moment to organise food for the guests and the tickets range from R60 per general ticket and a VIP ticket costs R120,” said Dlamini.
