Local Impala lad takes anti-bullying crown
The pageant is based on raising aware surrounding bullies in schools.
Little Impala learner Ewan Lourens (11) will not stand for bullying.
He was recently crowned Junior Mr Switch, a pageant initiative hosted by the Standing With Individuals To Change Hurt (Switch) organisation, which hopes to create awareness surrounding bullying in schools.

“Our vision is to help the youth struggling with bullies and who are bullies themselves, as there is often nowhere to turn to,” said director of Switch Shelby Moura.
That’s where Grade Five learner Ewan comes in. Following his crowning, he will represent Switch at anti-bullying campaigns and pledge drives.
“So, keep an eye out for dates and venues near you,” his mother, Lelane Lourens, said. “Let’s stand together and stop bullying in our schools.”
