Terenure’s Miss Africa finalist passion lies with the youth
Precious Molomo works with several communities and organisations to contribute to and make a difference in society.
A beauty queen from Terenure is a finalist in the Miss Africa Continent 2018 pageant.
Precious Molomo is originally from Mpumalanga. She moved to Kempton Park in 2010 when she got a bursary to attend school at Höerskool Waterkloof.
She entered thepageant in March and was shortlisted in May. In June she heard she was a finalist.
The winner of this pageant will compete in Miss World next year.
“I’m very excited to be part of this pageant and it would be such a great achievement if I could compete in Miss World,” said Molomo.
She will be hosting high teas and doing charity work to earn points before the pageant.
“The reason I entered this pageant is because it is not only about beauty, but it is about beauty with purpose. It is about education and I am all about educating young boys and girls. I am still growing and this pageant reminds me that I am a work in progress,” she continued.
Molomo’s passion lies with the youth. She likes to empower young people to get an education and make a good living for themselves.
One project she is busy with at the moment, the Dignity Dreams Pad Drive, is giving high school girls washable reusable sanitary pads. She is currently working with the Life 4 U Foundation based in Moriting in Tembisa, providing food and clothing to children.
The 25-year-old also has a cosmetics company where all the profits of her business go towards her pad drive.
Molomo is driven and has the mind of an entrepreneur while caring for her community and remaining beautiful.
“I have a no excuse attitude towards life and I want to be a living testimony that young people can juggle more than one thing at a time and still be successful,” she concluded.
