Women’s health and finance are the focus at Women of Hope meeting

The meeting will be held in Norkem Park from 1pm to 5pm on May 25.

Money matters and cancer awareness are among the topics to be discussed at the Women of Hope’s May meeting.

Themed “what is holding you back?”, the meeting is scheduled to take place at the Norkem Park Scout Hall, situated on the corner of Van Loggerenberg Avenue and Mooifontein Road, on May 25.

According to the ministry’s Precious Tsolo, the ministry’s aim is to empower women to deal with the day-to-day challenges that hinder them to break free from their past.

“All women from any background and spheres of life are welcome to attend the monthly meetings. We impart knowledge and skills that help shape women financially, physically, spiritually and emotionally,” said Tsolo.

“This month we will have internationally accredited money coach and author Busi Selesho, who will empower women to have a better relationship with money, get out of debt and have financial wellness and abundance.

“Women can expect to be empowered and learn how to reclaim their financial freedom through Selesho’s talk.”

Tsolo also told Express that while Selesho tackles the finances, Ntombizodwa Mahlangu will focus on breast and cervical cancer diagnosis, treatment and challenges, among other things.

“Mahlangu is a professional nurse and lecturer and her focus will be on cancer symptoms that one should be aware of, treatment involved, radiation, chemotherapy and its side effects,” explained Tsolo.

“She will also touch on how to assist the families of the patient/s and what families taking care of a cancer patient should consider when they are going through depression caused by medication and treatment.”

The event will be from 1pm to 5pm and admission is free.

Women interested in attending are welcome to RSVP by May 20 at info@rcgwomenofhope.co.za or contact Tsolo on 084 500 2298.
