Gabriella (4) scoops three crowns at pageant

Kempton Park is home to the adorable Mini Miss South Africa 2019, Gabriella Wildschut (4).

Gabriella entered the Mini Miss South Africa (three to four years category) at the Miss and Mr Junior South Africa in March.

“We are extremely proud of our princess. She did really well,” said Gabriella’s proud mother, Angie Bryant.

“She was also awarded best interview and best ramp model, and was crowned Public Choice for 2019 and Mini Face of South Africa 2019.”

Gabriella clearly ticked the right boxes and impressed the judges as she was also crowned Mini Miss Universe South Africa, which means she will represent the country at the Mini Miss Universe pageant.

The exact dates for Mini Miss Universe haven’t been confirmed yet, but Angie said it would take place in Turkey.

Gabriella, with her mother’s help, will focus on children’s homes in Kempton Park as her charity commitment for the year.

“She was exposed to getting involved with charity work at a young age because I am constantly doing it and she comes along and wants to help to show she is a big girl,” explained Angie.

“For her second birthday party her dad, Martin, and I asked guests to donate nappies instead of gifts, which we donated to Door of Hope. Asking for donations instead of gifts has become a tradition. Last year she asked that we collect teddies for the bikers’ toy run.

“She gets excited to count the donations after opening the gifts her father and I get her.”

The A+ mathematics learner also enjoys ballet, gymnastics and swimming. She is a mixture of sweet and cheeky and no stranger to pageants and crowns.

“Gabriella started entering pageants in 2015. Among other crowns, she has won Little Miss Candy Pop 2015, Miss Heart of Gold 2016 and Miss Mini Grande Royale 2017,” shared Angie.

“Winning Mini Miss South Africa 2019 is special for Gabriella. She had fun and made lots of friends and we are all very proud of her. She is daddy’s princess and mommy’s angel.”
