WATCH: Fire at flea market in Boksburg

A fire broke out at a shop at East Rand Traders Market, a flea market in Boksburg, on Thursday afternoon.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the fire but it is believed three shops were affected.

The fire apparently started around 4.30pm.

Sec Pros Security was alerted of the fire by community members who were close to the scene.

“It looks like it was going to be a big fire but it was controlled in time,” said Sec Pros Security’s Gerald Groenewald.

Express couldn’t get information about damage caused from emergency services at the time of publishing.
