Calling on all Krugersdorp High School alumni
“The aim of the foundation is to maintain relationships that were once formed many years ago.
If you’re an alumni from Krugersdorp High School, the Krugersdorp High School Foundation is looking for you.
Established in 2009, the foundation was created by a group of passionate past educators and learners in 1903.
It was high time that a foundation be established to ensure that the school continues to grow from strength to strength for generations to come,” said Leoni Pienaar, fellow member of the foundation.
With this in mind, many past learners have already made contact with the organisation. However, the foundation’s books show there are still many fellow past-learners who have not joined the database.
Pienaar said: “The aim of the foundation is to maintain relationships that were once formed many years ago and further grow these by supporting the school, whether it is through knowledge or financial assistance.”
Thanks to the fact that Krugersdorp High School Foundation is a non-profit organisation, any contributions made to the school by companies or individuals are able to get tax certificates for their donations.The foundation organises multiple events to raise funds for the school and the running costs of the foundation throughout each year.
“These events include a high tea for ladies taking place in July, the Old Student’s Sports Day, the annual golf day and multiple reunions that take place at the school,” she said.
