Tembisan mom a Mrs Africa Finalist 2020
'I see Mrs Africa as a platform and an opportunity to inspire women to live their best lives'
A Tembisa mother and wife is nominated as the Mrs Africa Finalist 2020 and she requests support from Tembisa residents.
The finalist of the pageant Thembi Monametsi said it is a privilege to have been selected as a Mrs Africa Finalist 2020 considering that this year’s pageant received the most entries in the history of the Mrs Africa pageant.
“I see Mrs Africa as a platform and an opportunity to inspire women to live their best lives.
“As women we must use every opportunity to embrace fellow women in their endeavours and challenges.
“I want to remind them that as wives or mothers we still have dreams to pursue and they should never stop dreaming,” said Monametsi.
She said women must always strive to be their own unique person without comparing themselves to other woman.
“Only you can do your best because as women we are all created uniquely for a particular purpose. Self-love and self-acceptance are the key foundations to acknowledging that a woman is worthy. Therefore do your best in every venture you undertake and never settle for less,” explained Monametsi.
She said it took spiritual growth for her to transform from being a naive young girl to a powerful woman, leader and author.

“I believe in peace of mind, I acknowledge that I can never be perfect but I am always devoted to becoming the best version of myself.”
Monametsi boasts a number of titles under her her belt. She is a media personality, author, inspirational speaker and founder of a non-profit organisation called Rise up Woman.
“Rise up Woman is an organisation that focuses on women empowerment and community upliftment.
“In the organisation we have a unique way of reaching out to women who need to make peace with their past and maximize their present by deepening their relationship with God.
“My passion is driven by my experiences and insights. I use both these influences to help every woman I encounter to bring out the best version of themselves,” said the proud wife of Bishop Alfred Monametsi.
In 2017 Thembi Monametsi published a book titled Rise up Woman which gave birth to the non-profit organisation of the same name.
She requests Tembisa residents to back her course of being crowned Mrs Africa 2020 finalist which will strengthen her community work of empowering women.
