The workshop was organised by FBO with the aim of educating people about financials. Bishop Michael Mtshali, FBO chairperson, said people need to be educated on how to spend money.
“Unlike the old days, things have become easy as to how people can save money and use money, we do not have to find our pockets empty a week after salary day,” said Mtshali.
Different stakeholders were invited, including Tembisa South SAPS and the youth desk, Avbob and Absa.

Thandiwe Nkosi, a community member, said they were tought how to use money carefully and for things they need.
“We learnt how to save money and use it wisely. We always have to have savings for a rainy day,” said Nkosi.
Mpho Legodi from Charter Academy was the financial facilitator of the programme sponsored by Absa, named Bobomi.
“We did some activities and each attendee was awarded a certificate of participation from Absa,” said Legodi.
“We covered basic financial information, inviting all age groups because we all need to know how to spend our money wisely to avoid being blacklisted,” explains Legodi.
