Four ladies and four gentlemen proved to the Tembisa community that they are indeed glamorous when they were crowned Mr and Miss Glamorous 2019 on June 30.

The eighth annual beauty pageant competition was held at the Sam Hlalele Hall, where scores of young people came to watch the event.

Precious Khorombi was crowned Miss Glamorous 2019 and Makwa Mokoma was crowned Mr Glamorous 2019.

“I am overwhelmed with how the pageant turned out. The crowd response was very positive and I am happy that the parents were there to rejoice with the contestants,” said organiser Khomotso Sekhu.

“I want to thank my mom, Enneth Sekhu, for making sure that every goal was met. I also want to thank our sponsors, Karamel and Tedttraction SA, for sponsoring the models.”

Sekhu said this pageant really put a smile on people’s faces and encouraged young people to keep themselves busy and away from wrongdoings.

Thirty contestants were on stage and the following eight winners were crowned: Precious Khorommbi, Queen; Hellen Tasfey, First Princess; Lerato Mothoa, Second Princess; and Ntebogeng Mathobela, Miss Personality; Makwa Mokoma, King; Vusi Phakade, First Prince, Banele Tau, Second Prince; and Kgotso Phasha, Mr Personality.
