Church prays against crime in our country
We are faced with drugs which are found even in our schools
Religious stakeholders held prayer meetings at Abundant Life Christian Centre in Tembisa, at Endulwini section against crime on June 27.
The meeting aimed at praying for crimes in the country and substance abuse across the country. Different church representatives were invited into the prayer session. Jackson Radebe, the chairperson of ANC Ward 6, said the issues the country is facing today is because people have lost connection with their spiritual connect, as a nation there is a need to find stability and peace to prosper.
“We are faced with drugs which are found even in our schools and we need to identify where we went wrong as a nation,” said Radebe.
Lindikhaya Sityata, Evangelist and Faith Based Organisation coordinator, said there is a need to preach at schools and bring change in young people’s lives.
“We need more than prayers, but we cannot begin anything without prayers hence we gathered to pray for the country as a start,” said Sityata.
“We need to go back to the position of Ubuntu in the society,” added Sityata.
