Trinity United to host new Alpha course

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith.

A new Alpha course will kick off at Trinity Unity Church on July 14 at noon.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith and addressing questions such as who is Jesus, how can we have faith, why and how do I pray and how does God guide us?

Each talk looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. The talks are given as a live talk or played as a video and are delivered over about 11 weeks.

Probably the most important part of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic and simply discuss it in a small group. There is no obligation to say anything and there is nothing you cannot say.

It is an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

Each session starts with a light meal as this builds community and getting to know each other.

It is open to all denominations and there is no charge.

The theme verse for Alpha 2019 is “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105, NIV).

The church is situated at 92 Quintus van der Walt Street.
