Youth gets matric dance experience at gala dinner

Motivations were shared and artists entertained through their music

Harvest of Gospel Power Ministries Youth hosted a gala dinner at Harvest of Gospel Power Ministries in Tembisa on June 29.

The aim of the gala dinner was to create a platform for the youth to create opportunities and have a matric dance experience. They had various speakers and artists.

Motivations were shared and artists entertained through their music. Betty Mulaudzi, the organiser, said their main aim of hosting the gala dinner was to bring young people together and also to make them aware that fun can also be had in the house of the Lord.

“I was so surprised the way things out. The night was more than just a night of fun but there was so much that we learnt from our speakers,” said Mulaudzi.

“The achievements were basically being able to dress and do the make-up for all the ladies and getting the guys suited up. It was a success because all went according to plan,” added Mulaudzi.

“From entrepreneurship, education and most importantly, having to believe in ourselves and having confidence and a positive attitude. Since we got such a positive feedback about the gala dinner, we are considering to host it annually with different kinds of purposes though,” said Hlengiwe Jozini, youth leader.

“In overall, it is just to thank each and everyone who really honoured the invite and came to support us and just a special thanks to everyone at large. It was a huge success and a lot is still to come,” said Jozini.
