Police need help in identifying the body of a man
The deceased was found in possession of a super scanner metal detector that is often used by security officers.
Kempton Park SAPS needs help in identifying a man that was found dead in Witfontein near the R23 on the night of July 11.
“Police were called to the scene and, upon arrival, they found the body of an unknown black man,” said Sgt Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“The deceased was found in possession of a super scanner metal detector that is often used by security officers. A cellphone without a SIM card and a black wallet were also found in his possession.”
Dipuo added that although the deceased was found wearing private clothes, they suspect he was a security officer.
Police are waiting for the post-mortem to determine what injuries the deceased sustained and the cause of death.
