Hemelse Pêrels to host Hykie Berg on Women’s Day
Hemelse Pêrels is a charity organisation that believes in the power of prayer.
Hemelse Pêrels Charity Organisation will host a Women’s Day event with actor Hykie Berg at Hamba Nawe in Pomona on August 9.
This charitable occasion has been fortunate enough to have a successful event at Hamba Nawe last year as well, where all profits were donated to Hemelse Pêrels. The upcoming event will be their second and the aim is to use the combined profits to promote outreach where it’s required.
“Hemelse Pêrels believes in the power of prayer. We minister, we pray and we are an organisation that assists terminally ill children,” said Annatjie and Chris Marais. “We do not wish to promote any church, but we are Christians in ministry who serve the Lord, and are willing to minister to you where ever you are,” said the Marais couple.
Their aim is to help people in need. However, they are strongly dependent on sponsors to support Hemelse Pêrels.
“We step in and help parents financially and deliver emotional support. We do hospital visits on request and support families to the best of our abilities,” said Chris.
In the past, Hemelse Pêrels had been fortunate to assist with medical expenses and, even in unfortunate cases, donating to funerals of minors.
To date, about 42 000 followers were fortunate to receive donations, assistance and prayers to help those in desperate need, said Annatjie.
“Our ministry team does not rely on any of the above-mentioned funds, but serves the community in Gauteng from their personal funds in an attempt to ensure that all funds of Hemelse Pêrels are available for the sole purpose of this charity.”
Tickets are sold at R180 per person, including lunch. To book, call Annatjie Marais on 073 166 0988.
