Local waitress/student does it all to win Empress SA title
As semi-finalist Warrior Princess, Mlambo will keep slaying obstacles to reach the final.
Felicia Mlambo (20), who waitresses by day and studies third-year financial accounting by night, is on the war path to become the next Empress South Africa winner.
This is Mlambo’s, a student at Damelin College, first time pursuing modelling for the largest online beauty pageant in South Africa, otherwise known as Miss Eagle SA. She’s been named as a semi-finalist.
“It’s an organisation emphasising the importance of community that also offers courses/seminars focusing on beauty with brains that aims to empower women.
“Being an Empress SA semi-finalist is a great honour, I’ve been appointed as the Warrior Princess since I’ve slayed a lot of obstacles in my path to reach the semi-finals and I’ll continue to do so for me to move to the finals.”
Being a Warrior Princess is a life-time honour title, which also means being an ambassador for motofind.co.za
Mlambo said the incentive for winning the Empress title is to gain points as rewards for any contribution to charitable acts done to needy institutions or people.
“I’ve done volunteer work at an orphanage in Tembisa in addition to an old age home. We offer contributions in the sense of cooking, washing dishes and keeping residents company.”
She also volunteered at Kempton Park SPCA.
In order to be considered for the grand title of Miss Empress SA, one needs at least 20 000 points to make the cut.
“So far I’ve managed to gain 11 000 points through my efforts.”
The cut-off for the qualification via the points system is at the end of August.
The final will be on December 16 in Durban.
