Women network at boss lady breakfast in Glen Marais

At the breakfast, the founder of Mompreneur Mondays said one ought to live, breathe and be one’s own brand.

A Facebook community of women, known as Mompreneur Mondays, hosted a breakfast in Glen Marais on July 20.

This boss lady breakfast was not only about women networking with one another but was also intertwined with a country style breakfast and talks presented by highly successful women.

Marilu Meiring, owner and founder of Mom Boss International and a transformation coach told the ladies to:

“Discover what each woman could bring to your table.”

Chanae Booysen, a fashion designer who has her own fitness range, delivered a talk about having the right mindset. “In order for you to give 100 per cent for your business or industry, you must be 100 per cent,” she said.

Marilu Meiring, Chanae Booysen, Letitia van der Walt and Chantal van Wyk worked together to make the boss lady business breakfast a success. At these breakfast seminars women get together to create networks for success.

Founder of Mompreneur Mondays, Letitia van der Walt, discussed marketing and communication. She emphasised the importance of consistency in one’s brand and strategy and to “live, breathe and be one’s own brand”.

Mompreneur Mondays is a NPO made possible by Van der Walt and Chantal van Wyk. This community of women venture online and at events like the boss lady breakfast in order to establish networking opportunities for those who are growing their own businesses.

Van der Walt said: “When you’re at your lowest it’s sometimes the best place to be in your business. It’s what helps you be creative when you have nothing to lose.”

She also said consistency in one’s strategy was the only thing that could determine change.
