Rand Water has no good news for waterless Kemptonians
Should the situation improve or get worse the public will be informed accordingly

Many Kempton Park residents will have to cope without water until at least Monday afternoon.
Rand Water on Sunday afternoon said upon accessing the pipe and on proper inspection, they unfortunately found the pipe was damaged more than what was initially expected and reported.
The latest estimated completion of the work is tomorrow afternoon. Should the situation improve or get worse the public will be informed accordingly, said spokesperson Justice Mohale.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused and urge for your continued support to use water sparingly as we work on restoring the supply.”

Rand Water will only be able to start pumping water to affected areas in Kempton Park by late Sunday night.
Rand Water spokesperson Justice Mohale said on Sunday morning they were able to expose the burst portion on the O2 pipeline overnight after diverting the river.
It appears that a valve on the pipeline was vandalised.
