WATER UPDATE: Repairs to Rand Water pipe are done
'We are continuing to monitor the system and its recovery, says Rand Water
Rand Water was able to repair all the damaged portions of the damaged pipe overnight.
At about 5.30am on Monday we started recommissioning the pipe. We are expecting that water will be fully restored in all areas later today, said Justice Mohale on Monday morning.
“We are continuing to monitor the system and its recovery.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused and we urge for your continued support to use water sparingly as the system recovers.”
WATER UPDATE: Rand Water repairs on O2 pipeline completed, now opening water to feed reservoirs. It is anticipated that by this afternoon most areas will start to have water, and our water reservoirs will start to recover tonight.
