Eskom’s Ekurhuleni Zone Live work team has achieved a remarkable 25 years without a lost-time injury (LTI).
This team of 27 is leading with safety achievements in the zone.
“Maintaining a good safety performance record is not easy but it is possible. We have worked as a collective in order to reach this milestone on safety, especially where we work with live apparatus each day. It is possible to keep safe as long as you work according to the live work standards and procedures”, says Lungani Mpungosi, the team supervisor.
“We have a very happy team in Vlakfontein Live Work where everyone treats each other with respect and dignity. We have Eskom legends as part of the team who have been here for the past 25 years and we learn a lot from them. I am proud of this team” says Lungani.
