Boy from Tembisa helps needy children
He said he is touched to see people suffering and that inspired his initiative of giving.
A young man took an initiative to collect clothes from family, friends and neighbours to help less fortunate children.
On August 6, Aubrey Pitjeng handed over bags of clothing items to Tembisa Child Welfare in a bid to lend a helping hand.
“I did this to show love to the children living in the centre.
“We should not undermine the power of helping wherever we can,” said Pitjeng.
He said he is touched to see people suffering and that inspired his initiative of giving.

Pitjeng hopes to register a non-profit organisation so that he can help more people.
He said children in the centre must keep a positive spirit and stay inspired to become good citizens.
Social work supervisor at Tembisa Child Welfare Laurence Tagwireyi said they are very humbled by the gesture of the young man.
“This means a lot to our children and we really appreciate the philanthropic contribution that he has shown to our organisation. No matter how small, it makes a significant difference to our children,” said Tagwireyi.
He said the centre relies on all kinds of help coming from the community and he commended the young man for being thoughtful in assisting where he can.
