Although he is not a performer, Dibakoane was always fascinated by music.
He was in high school when the idea of music production took hold of his heart.
“My friends used to rap and we would go to a recording studio not far from where I live.
“While we were there, the owner used to ask me if I was a producer and I laughed it off at the time and said no.
“A few years later I decided to give myself the challenge to produce beats because I love music and I love technology,” said Dibakoane.

The 21-year-old said creating the studio was not easy, however, with the help of friends they were able to turn what was a store room into a space where creatives can flourish.
His favourite part of the installations was the booth.
“A lot of the things you see in my studio were designed by my friends,” said the young producer.

Mpho installed studio monitors an audio interface, TRS cables, a microphone and studio headphones.
Although still a new studio, Mpho has managed to grab the attention of 10 artists from the neighbourhood recording a variety of genres.
“A lot of the work I’ve done hasn’t been released yet, some of the work that’s completed is available on a YouTube channel called The AfterEffect with Zhane.
“People can also expect some music from an amapiano group, The Heavy Joints Sessions, and there’s also a project we are working on with Jazzylee Mapiano,” said Dibakoane.
