Local youth’s achievements celebrated

The home provides the children with an accredited ABET Course as well as Skills Development Training so that once they have completed the programme, they are able to gain employment and become responsible and independent young adults.

The Coach’s St George’s Home in Kempton Park is an organisation that cares for youth placed in its care.

In many cases, the children’s families cannot care for them.

The home provides the children with an accredited ABET course, as well as skills development training so that once they have completed the programme, they can get employment and become responsible and independent young adults.

This Youth Day, the home celebrated the achievements of its residents by hosting a special graduation ceremony for them.

Qualifications included IEB certificates as well as various skills certificates. Each resident also received awards for their accolades.

The event was arranged by ward councillor Jaco Terblanche and was held at Mon Lieu Spa and Venue.

The event left the youngsters motivated and excited for their future.
