Three people were allegedly shot and injured during a robbery in Kempton Park CBD.

It is believed that this morning, five armed men entered a training academy in the Medi-Centre on Central Avenue and demanded money from the occupants inside.

A scuffle allegedly ensued and two employees and a student were shot.

At this stage it is not clear whether any money was handed over to the armed suspects who then fled the scene allegedly with cellphones.

According to a close friend of one of the employees shot, the bullet went through the employee’s liver and he was in critical but stable condition in hospital.

Despite numerous attempts to contact the SAPS no comment or confirmation could be obtained at the time of publication.
