Three men caught driving under the influence by EMPD
The men were taken to the nearest medical centre for blood samples to be taken and after confirmation of the results they were detained at the Kempton Park Police Station.
On the evening of December 16, members of the EMPD’s Overloads Unit officers arrested three men for driving while under the influence of alcohol in Kempton Park.
The men were arrested during an operation on the R21 southbound at the Voortrekker Road on-ramp.

All of the suspects recorded readings of between 1.05 and 1.35, way above the legal limit.

The suspects will soon be appearing at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
