Serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu back in court for alleged murder plot
Ndlovu, who was previously stationed at Tembisa Police Station, and Mudau, formerly based at Norkem Park Police Station, are accused of plotting to have Mudau’s ex-husband, Justice, killed.
Convicted serial killer and former police officer Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu appeared in the Kempton Park Regional Court on April 8 alongside her former colleague Nomsa Mudau, facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
Ndlovu, who was previously stationed at Tembisa Police Station, and Mudau, formerly based at Norkem Park Police Station, are accused of plotting to have Mudau’s ex-husband, Justice, killed.
According to testimony, the plan allegedly failed when the hired hitmen warned Justice about the plot against his life.
It is alleged that Mudau had promised to pay the hitmen once she had claimed a life insurance policy taken out in her husband’s name. However, instead of following through with the plan, the hitmen reportedly tipped Justice off.

During cross-examination, Lakhiwe Mkhize from Thembisa, one of the alleged hitmen, testified that he received a call from Mudau and went to meet her alone.
Mkhize said he had never met Mudau before and claimed he was informed of the meeting by Ndlovu.
Advocate Malotane, representing Mudau, asked Mkhize where he received payment from her. Mkhize responded that he was given R3 000 at Mudau’s home.
When Malotane clarified that he was referring to petrol money, Mkhize said he was unaware of such a payment.

“I believe Mtshali hid the petrol money from me because he was the one who knew the gentleman with the car,” said Mkhize.
Mkhize further stated that he was not aware of any other payments made in relation to the alleged plot.
“I gave Mtshali, Mudau’s cellphone number at the hostel because I was not answering her calls. She later phoned Mtshali, and he told me she was asking why I wasn’t answering,” he explained.
“Mudau also told Mtshali that she gave me R3 000 for the mission to kill her husband,” he added.

Advocate Malotane stated that during Mtshali’s testimony, he provided detailed instructions on how the murder was supposed to be carried out.
Mkhize confirmed this, saying the instructions were clear.
“I only knew where to find Justice. Mudau had earlier told us the time her husband arrived home from work and gave a description of his car.
“After killing her husband, we were promised R15 000,” Mkhize claimed.
When Malotane asked if he knew “the Venda guy,” Mkhize confirmed the man was his neighbour.
“I was the one who suggested we go to Musanda since he speaks the same language as Justice.
But Justice didn’t want to hear anything we were saying about his wife,” he said.
Malotane further stated that Mudau claimed she was contacted by Mkhize, who asked to meet her at Mooifontein Cemetery.
She was allegedly surprised by the call and questioned how Mkhize had obtained her number and personal information.
Mkhize denied these claims, saying there had been a misunderstanding and that everything Mudau said was “out of line.”
The case was postponed to May 22 for a Section 174 application.
