EMPD recovers stolen Hyundai Tucson in Ivory Park

The EMPD Northern Region Task Team recovered a stolen Hyundai Tucson in Ivory Park after receiving information from a vehicle-tracking company, with the vehicle traced and secured during routine crime-prevention patrols.

The EMPD Northern Region Task Team recovered a stolen silver-grey Hyundai Tucson in the Ivory Park area on January 15.

Officers were conducting routine crime-prevention duties when they received information from a vehicle-tracking company about a silver-grey Hyundai Tucson reported stolen in the Buccleuch area.

The theft was registered under Sandton SAPS.

Using GPS coordinates provided by the tracking company, officers traced the vehicle to Ivory Park, where it was found abandoned.

All relevant role players were summoned to the scene, and the vehicle was subsequently taken to the Aeroton Police Pound for further investigation.
