On the evening of March 10, Ekurhuleni WPDS responded to a drowning at Edenvale quarry. Allegedly, a 33-year-old male was walking his dog, which ran into the dam.

The victim reportedly chased after his dog to rescue it and unfortunately drowned in the six-metre-deep water. His body was recovered after a 15-minute dive.
