SAPS, EMPD and stakeholders strengthen partnerships for safer communities

Norkem Park SAPS station commander Colonel Nelly Maunatlala headed a meeting between SAPS and EMPD recently to highlight the various successes achieved through collaborative efforts.

“The SAPS and the EMPD are proud to announce the success of their collaborative efforts with stakeholders in fostering safer and more secure communities,” said Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Barbara-Anne Ferreira.

In a joint statement released, the SAPS and EMPD highlighted the positive outcomes achieved through their strong working relationship with various stakeholders, including community members, local businesses, private security and government entities.

Ferreira said through increased communication, coordinated strategies, and mutual respect, the partnership has significantly contributed to reducing crime rates and enhancing regional public safety.

“Our partnership with stakeholders has been instrumental in creating a safer environment for all community members.

“By working together, we will be able to address issues effectively, build trust, and strengthen our bonds with the community,” said Ferreira.

Key initiatives undertaken by the SAPS, EMPD and stakeholders have included joint patrols, community engagement programs, and collaborative crime prevention projects.

These efforts will improve crime detection and response but have also promoted a sense of unity and inclusivity among all stakeholders involved.
