Pilusa expressed his joy in working with young players. “The teams played three matches, including the U11, U13, and U15 categories. Every ending has a bright beginning. Embrace it with open arms and all the young talent we have.
“They are organised, and I thank the team for their contributions and hard work.
“I am glad to have the opportunity to work with this team alongside chairperson Winsty Mamashia and other technical staff. Things went well, and I’d like to thank my fellow teachers for their support.”

Pilusa acknowledged the contributions of Mr Malatjie, Mr Ratshomane, and Mr Mongadi, stating, “The way they handled the function showed resilience, experience, knowledge and critical thinking.
“As a team, we would love their perspectives on our next function. I appreciate the development we’ve seen in the team and the school in Winnie Mandela Park.
“Thank you to the team and school for providing onboarding and training opportunities. I feel valued and inspired as we continue working together to develop these young, talented players in our area and around Thembisa.”

The team was grateful for the sponsorship by Sasko Olifants and Festive Olifants, who donated catering for the players.
The day was well-spent, with players excited throughout the function.
Team manager Malatjie spoke on the importance of relationships and leadership in a team.
“The great success of every team is establishing a strong relationship. As the team manager, I would like to say that the secret to success is good leadership, and good leadership is all about improving the lives of your team members.
“A good coach will make his players see what they can become rather than what they are,” he said.
