Kempton Park officers take safety campaign to local schools

Ndlovu said schools will be monitored to ensure the safety of learners.

Kempton Park station commander Brigadier Ndlovu, alongside his officers who have adopted schools in the Kempton Park area, visited local schools on January 15 to ensure safety and welcome students and educators as the new academic year began.

During the visits, Ndlovu emphasised the importance of students’ right to basic education and highlighted the collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to create a safe learning environment.

Ndlovu assured the schools that regular monitoring would be conducted to ensure student safety and discourage involvement in criminal activities, fostering future leaders.

The officers also visited Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School, where a group of parents, unclear about the proper enrolment procedures, attempted an informal strike.

Acting Vispol commander Colonel Anton Jonker engaged with the parents, explained the process, and successfully resolved the situation without incident.

No major incidents were reported at any school in Kempton Park on the day, marking a smooth and positive start to the academic year.
