Curro Clayville introduces Early Childhood Development short course

In order to support and foster educational growth, Curro Clayville introduces a short course for the community.

On March 1, Curro Clayville hosted a community outreach event, offering a free Early Childhood Development (ECD) workshop series for residents in Thembisa, Clayville, Midrand, Kempton Park, Norkem Park, and Birchleigh.

More than 200 people attended the launch of the six-month ECD workshop series, held at the Curro Clayville school hall.

The event featured an engaging workshop led by ECD specialist Janet Beyrooti, who provided participants with comprehensive training covering various aspects of ECD.

The workshop not only offered valuable insights but also created opportunities for networking and collaboration.

At the end of the course, participants will receive certificates of completion, recognising their commitment to advancing their ECD knowledge and skills.

Curro Executive Head, John Bissett, highlighted the school’s commitment to supporting community educational growth.

“This six-month short course is aimed at enhancing skills and expertise in early childhood development,” Bissett said.

Participants were encouraged to register for the upcoming workshops, which will continue over the next six months.

Those who complete all sessions will receive a certificate of completion, acknowledging their dedication to improving their ECD expertise.

The initial workshop introduced attendees to the fundamentals of ECD, providing a hands-on learning experience and practical knowledge.

The upcoming sessions will offer further training, in-depth activities, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
