Fire pits brightened the cold evening, drawing people together, and local music by local artist Jimbou added to the welcoming atmosphere.

Nicoleen Snibbe was among those who enjoyed the evening. She said the variety of items and the warm ambience stood out.

“The market turned out great and lit; there’s a lot of light, nice perfumes, and the jewellery is affordable and pretty,” she said.

“The fire was a great idea because it’s quite cold. The coffee was also amazing. Jewellery is my favourite; you have to look pretty and smell nice, too.”

Although the market was themed around Mother’s Day, it offered something for everyone, with a range of items catering to different styles and preferences.

Sarah Hewitt shared her preference for night markets over daytime events.

“I’ve attended a few markets before, and I love the atmosphere here. The fire helps with the cold, and there’s a wide variety of items to choose from. I also enjoy the music. It adds to the vibe.”
