Rand Water leak leads to interruptions for Kempton Park
The leak has resulted in a stoppage of pumping at the Palmiet Booster Station, impacting water distribution across multiple suburbs.
Several areas in Ekurhuleni, including Kempton Park, Germiston, Edenvale, Bedfordview, and Thembisa, are currently experiencing water supply interruptions following a leak on a Rand Water pipeline.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni, the leak has resulted in a stoppage of pumping at the Palmiet Booster Station, impacting water distribution across multiple suburbs.

Rand Water has confirmed that repair teams have been deployed and are currently on site working to restore the supply. However, no estimated time for full restoration has been provided yet. The City has assured residents that regular updates will be shared via its digital communication platforms.
Affected Areas Include:
- Kempton Park: Kempton Park CBD, Phomolong, Bonaero Park, Brentwood Park, Croydon, and Friendship Town.
