Amore Earth launches inclusive recycling programme at Con Amore School
The programme was launched due to the need and importance of knowledge-based waste management systems.
Kameel Maharaj and Mags Infante joined forces to launch the Amore Earth Waste Management & Recycling Programme, an initiative promoting sustainability and inclusion.
The pair launched the programme at Con Amore School, a school for learners with disabilities, to highlight that sustainability is about more than just the environment; it’s also about people.

Co-founder Maharaj said, “This programme is about education, inclusion, opportunity and giving back. It started through our involvement in the recycling industry. Realising the importance and need for knowledge-based waste management systems inspired us to start it.”
Amore Earth promotes a greener future and aims to build a fully inclusive recycling community, where nobody is left behind.
Through the programme, participating schools receive an Earth Wallet based on the amount of recyclable material they collect.
This wallet enables the school to buy recycled building materials, which it uses to maintain the school grounds. It also gives learners a real sense of pride as they see their hard work come to life.

Recognising the growing need to create space and sustainability for future generations, Maharaj and Infante believe that partnering with schools is the best way to educate young people and make recycling accessible to all.
“We want to teach children early that caring for the planet and each other go hand in hand,” Maharaj added.
