City extends waste removal operations as backlogs persist

Residents in the affected areas are urged to place their waste bins and any additional bags out at the scheduled times listed here.

The City of Ekurhuleni continues to work on clearing the waste removal backlog affecting Thembisa and Kempton Park, with operations set to continue into the weekend.

According to spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the ongoing implementation of the waste removal recovery plan will focus on areas that fall under the Thursday and Friday waste collection schedules.
