The past year taught the organisation that progress is never easy, but perseverance and humility remain essential.

The foundation expressed gratitude to all those who supported its vision and partnered with it to make a meaningful impact on the lives of community members.

Through strong stakeholder relations, the organisation has contributed to addressing the needs of vulnerable people in the community.

The founder of Izithelo ZeNkosi Foundation, Thulani Koaho, said the organisation faced various challenges over the past 12 months, but these experiences ultimately strengthened its resolve.

“As an organisation, we have faced challenges, particularly a lack of vital resources needed to make a greater difference. However, we are not discouraged.

“The work we do relies on God and our willing hearts. It is more about the people we serve,” said Koaho.

He highlighted the foundation’s annual Career and Entrepreneurship Expo as one of its greatest achievements.

“Seeing learners from Thembisa School of Entrepreneurship being empowered to make informed career choices within the tourism industry was truly rewarding.

“This is something we are looking forward to continuing in 2026, as we hope to reach and host more matrics from different schools in Thembisa,” he said.

The foundation also shared its excitement about being among the recipients of school shoes through the Shoes of Hope initiative, donated by the Shimuzic Foundation, founded by DJ Shimza. These shoes will be distributed to the foundation’s beneficiaries.

In addition, Izithelo ZeNkosi Foundation continues to work towards turning its vision of establishing a community computer centre into reality.
